Diablo is a dark fantasy-themed action role-playing game developed by Blizzard North and released by Blizzard Entertainment on January 2, 1997.

Set in the fictional Kingdom of Khanduras (located in the Diablo series fantasy world of Sanctuary), Diablo has the player take control of a lone hero as he or she battles to rid the world of the eponymous Lord of Terror. Beneath the town of Tristram, the player journeys through sixteen dungeon levels to ultimately come face to face with Diablo and his demon minions.

Diablo was a best-seller and following the first game's popularity an expansion pack, entitled Diablo: Hellfire, was released in 1997, although it was not created by Blizzard Entertainment (Sierra).

This release is a pre-cracked portable copy of Diablo I and its expansion, HellFire. HellFire has been cracked to include a multiplayer client and additional characters (Monk, Barbarian, and Bard). This release contains all the audio and video files from the old releases (thereby explaining the size) and only files which contributed nothing to gameplay have been removed. This game is not multi-language and is only available in English.

This release will allow up to eighteen users to play cooperativly through the Diablo campaign using the Internet, a LAN, or a direct connection.

Install Notes

Steps:

(1.) Extract the "Diablo - Ultimate.rar" file to a directory of your choice and then Navigate to the extracted directory (by default "Diablo" directory. Double-click on the "Diablo_Mod-Crack_ZKZ.exe" program. This program is not necessary as it only installs shortcuts (makes no changes to the game files which are already updated, modded, and cracked).
(2.) Click through the installation instructions. Make certain that you install
the Mod-Crack to the "Diablo" directory.
(3.) Open the desired shortcut (which by default is) located on your desktop to
start the game. Create a server on the desired campaign map or alternatively
join a game already in progress.

Vista build, bootscreen, frontend, registry tweaks, several related
applications, twenty-plus emulators and tens of thousands of various game
images and roms in an orderly package. This package would then allow a user
to easily create a SF personal computer (or any other light PC) that would
act as any console from the first to sixth generation. This has been a huge
undertaking but if it is successful this project will provide the PC scene with
the first real replacement for consoles. Please understand that projects like this one can have unsuspected kinks. Please be patient.

Need - To the many individuals who already have questioned the need for a new Diablo release, the Federation offers this rebuttal. This project began when one of our members was unable to locate a Portable copy of Diablo or Hellfire (in Wnglish with the HellFire multiplayer crack). This was shocking as the Federation concentrates primarily on Co-op games and Diablo was a founding title that all our members played at one point or another. Therefore we undertook the task of creating this release. It is retro, but it is also shockingly streamlined and well developed. In short this release fulfills our requirements as it creates accessibility. If you think it still serves no purpose don't download it.

(1.) Battle.net - Battle.net doesn?t work for Diablo or its HellFire expansion and never will (not the purpose of this release). The user can still play online through a direct internet connection. If Battle.net is a necessity the Federation recommends and emulator likes PvPGN.

For anyone who may be wondering, this does work for XPx64. It does not offer any additional multiplayer options (same multiplayer as the "command.txt" "Multitest" tweak.

The shortcut to Hellfire doesn't work. Diablo works on Battle.net if the crack isn't installed. Not sure what the crack is supposed to do. Does anyone know?

crack is for nocd Blizzard doesn't like that. Get an iso or cd to play on Battle.net. Some crazy registry tweak may work but i havn't any luck with that. Helfire is not meant for Battle.net and will never work there. This download cuts back on install time, size, and includes a nocd crack. Also as I mentioned that the HF1.01 patch would'n install on x64; well its preinstalled here so it's no longer a problem. Overall a great torrent could be better if there was a nocd that worked on Battle.net but this has been an issue of diablo since its release (theoreticly impossible). If one is released I'd like to know THANKS to all who seed and create!!!!! Thank You!!!

It is also noteworthy that all E.A. and Westwood video logos have also been removed (with the exception of Yuri's Revenge for technical reasons described bellow) out of respect for the former Westwood employees whose past efforts should be recognized, not exploited and rebranded.
